Working directly with the client Jade Direct have the capability to design, manufacture and stock client specific requirements, these can range from removable bespoke covers through to heated products ready for assembly into the client’s products.
In a fast-moving market place our clients often require products to be available on a short lead time or “off the shelf”. Therefore, Jade Direct, in conjunction with the client can hold items on a call-off basis to satisfy their requirements.
Hughes Safety Showers are part of the Justrite Safety Group, and as such, part of their offering is portable safety showers and eyebaths. The showers can be supplied in cold environments, so protective covers were required.
Working closely with the client Jade Direct designed a range of both insulated and heated frost protection covers to suit a range of equipment from wall-mounted eyebaths to trailer-mounted bowsers.
Huber Technology, based in Chippenham, supply screening equipment for the water utility market, working across all of the UK’s water providers.
With plant and equipment transferring water-based products, they carry a high risk of freezing & therefore interrupting the flow, causing possible delays in wastewater processing.
Jade Direct manufacture and stocks insulation covers for their standard equipment, manufactured from water & UV resistant fabrics with double seam stitching to provide extended service. All insulated units have two methods of fastening to provide additional security in service. A mixture of insulation, either needlemat or mineral wool, is used depending upon the application.
Sweetheat is a manufacturer of heated delivery food bags primarily for the pizza and curry takeaway market; however, they also supply heated bags to various enterprises that trade in hot food delivery.
Although Sweetheat supplies their own custom-designed bags, Jade Direct provides the heating source within the bags.
In the design stage, there were many considerations, not only from the required temperature of 110°C at 12 volts to run from a car’s 12v supply (i.e. cigarette lighter socket) but also to food contamination and ease of use in transportation.
Jade Direct designed the heating pads using speciality fabrics, including silicone-based carriers for spill resistance, thin, lightweight insulation on the “cold face” with an encapsulated robust heating cable with internal low profile temperature control.
